The city is set to witness widespread rainfall over the coming five to six days, offering much-needed relief from recent warm spells. The development is driven by wind convergence, which is expected to trigger rain activity across various parts of the corporation limits starting from Monday through at least Saturday.

While nearby pockets such as Sulur and surrounding rural zones have already recorded sporadic showers, city centers that largely missed precipitation over the past few days will now come under the active rain belt.

Weather patterns indicate that precipitation will range from moderate to intense spells, predominantly setting in during the afternoon and evening hours. Mornings are likely to remain largely dry or partly overcast, with cloud cover thickening past midday as thunderstorm activity moves in from the eastern sector.

Due to the consistent rainfall and dense cloud cover, day temperatures are projected to drop significantly across the region, remaining capped at around 33°C throughout the week.
