UYIR Trust conducted a Road Safety Awareness Rally at NGM College, Pollachi, recently with the participation of around 200 volunteers, to create awareness about road safety and promote responsible road-user behaviour.

The rally focused on creating awareness among students and the public about the importance of following traffic rules and adopting safe practices while using the road.

During the rally, UYIR volunteers spread key road safety messages including the importance of wearing helmets, wearing seat belts, following traffic signals, avoiding mobile phone usage while driving, maintaining safe speed, and respecting other road users.

The active participation of around 200 volunteers demonstrated the commitment of young people towards creating a safer road environment. Through the rally, the volunteers encouraged the community to understand that road safety is a shared responsibility and that every individual has an important role in preventing road crashes and saving lives.

UYIR continues to work towards its vision of “Zero Accidents” through road safety education, awareness and community participation. Initiatives such as this rally aim to develop responsible road users and strengthen the culture of road safety among students and the wider community.

The rally concluded with a collective commitment to follow road safety practices and contribute towards building safer roads and safer communities.
