Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT) recently launched the International Centre for Global Engagement to strengthen international academic collaborations and create opportunities for student and faculty mobility, joint research and global learning.
The centre, inaugurated at the CIT Auditorium, will serve as a platform for academic partnerships and knowledge exchange with universities, institutions and organisations across the world.
It will also facilitate international programmes, research collaborations and the sharing of academic expertise and best practices.
The inauguration was attended by Madhusudhanan Sridharan, Ambassador (Retd.), Indian Foreign Service, Government of India; Hudyjaya Siswoyo Jo, Swinburne University of Technology, Malaysia; Khoo Li Jing, University of Wollongong; and Rizki Ardianto Priamadhi, Telkom University, Bandung, Indonesia.
CIT’s leadership, faculty and students also participated in the event. Those present included Santossh, Managing Trustee and Chairman, CIT Institutions; Vishnu Nischal Rajkumar, Director– Admissions, CIT Institutions; Rajeswari, Principal, Coimbatore Institute of Technology; and Alamelu, Chief Academic Officer, CIT Institutions.
The new centre is expected to provide a structured platform for CIT’s international engagement and expand opportunities for academic, research and professional collaboration with institutions across the globe.
