The Department of Commerce – Corporate Secretaryship, in association with the CA and Corpianz Association, organised the “CS 360° – Shaping the Next Generation of Corporate Leaders” symposium recently at Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College.
Around 50 students from various colleges participated in the symposium and gained exposure to Company Secretaryship (CS), Chartered Accountancy (CA), corporate practices, leadership and governance.
During the inaugural session, Saravanan, Principal of the college, delivered the Presidential Address.
The Chief Guest, Mohammed Hussain, Practising Company Secretary and Founder of Corproots Consultants, Ernakulam, delivered the Inaugural Address.
Following the inauguration, a paper presentation session was held.
The Case Study Presentation featured Mohanraj, Head of the Department, Department of Commerce – IB, as the Chairperson. Participants presented case studies that demonstrated their analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
The Panel Discussion featured distinguished professionals, including Mohammed Hussain as the keynote speaker, CA Sakunthala, CS Dhanya Swetha and CS Gaurav Nayak. The discussion provided students with professional insights into corporate leadership and career challenges.
The Valedictory Address was delivered by Kowsalya, Head of the Department, Commerce – CSCA, followed by the distribution of certificates.
The symposium provided students with a valuable platform to interact with academicians and industry professionals, enhancing their presentation, analytical, research and problem-solving skills through paper presentations, case studies and panel discussions.
Overall, “CS 360° – Shaping the Next Generation of Corporate Leaders” provided a platform for promoting professional competence, leadership, analytical thinking and industry awareness among commerce students.
