The poster for the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) Innovation Challenge 2026, organised by Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College (SREC), Coimbatore, in association with the Residents Awareness Association of Coimbatore (RAAC), was officially released recently at the college campus.
The poster was released in the presence of Sundar Ramakrishnan, Managing Trustee, SNR Sons Charitable Trust, and Soundarrajan, Principal of Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College.
The event was attended by Raveendran, Secretary, RAAC; Gopu, Convenor; Saravana Kumar, Convenor and Professor of Practice; and Mathivanan, Convenor.
The SDG Innovation Challenge 2026 aims to inspire school students from Classes VIII to XII to identify real-world challenges, think creatively, and develop innovative solutions aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.
The challenge will be conducted in three stages:
- Idea Submission
- Online Idea Presentation
- Prototype Demonstration
The preliminary stages of the challenge are scheduled to be conducted in October 2026, with the grand finale planned for November 2026.
The initiative seeks to nurture innovation, creativity, problem-solving skills, and social responsibility among school students while encouraging them to develop solutions to real-world challenges.
