“Kovai VGM Multispecialty Center,” the first satellite medical centre of VGM Hospital, was grandly inaugurated in Gobichettipalayam on Sunday.
Sengottaiyan, Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management, TVK, inaugurated the new centre and delivered a special address. Shanmugasundaram, Past District Governor, Rotary District 3203, participated as the special guest and delivered the felicitation address.
The new multispecialty centre has been established with the objective of bringing world-class, high-quality medical services closer to the people of Gobichettipalayam and the surrounding areas, enabling them to access specialised medical consultations and treatments within their locality.
Driven by the vision of “Easy access to quality medical care for everyone,” the establishment of the first satellite centre marks an important step towards extending the healthcare services of VGM Hospital, Coimbatore, to the people of Gobichettipalayam and neighbouring rural areas.
With the motto of “High-quality medical services close to the people,” the new centre will enable residents of Gobichettipalayam, Bhavani, Anthiyur, Sathyamangalam and surrounding areas to access a range of specialised medical consultations and treatments closer to their homes.
Arrangements have also been made to provide integrated treatment in coordination with the main centre of VGM Hospital, Coimbatore, particularly for emergency and complex medical conditions requiring advanced care.
At the inauguration ceremony, Dr. V.G. Mohan Prasad, Founder and Chairman of VGM Hospital, delivered the welcome address, following which the name board of the new medical centre was unveiled.
Dr. Suman, Orthopaedics and Physiotherapy, VGM Hospital, explained the key highlights and medical services of VGM Hospital, Coimbatore. Dr. Vamsi Murthy, Medical Gastroenterologist, outlined the objective behind establishing the VGM medical centre in Gobichettipalayam and highlighted the healthcare benefits it would offer to the people of the region.
Dr. Madhura Prasad, Consultant Medical Gastroenterologist, and Dr. Mitra Prasad, Consultant Medical Gastroenterologist, introduced the medical consultations, specialists, specialised departments and services that will be available at the new centre.
Several distinguished guests from the medical and social sectors graced the occasion, including Dr. Ranganathan, Dr. Raghunathan, Dr. Ramesh Babu, Dr. Dhanapal, Dr. Ganesan, Dr. Mohan, Dr. Kulandaisamy and Dr. Kumaresan.
As part of the inauguration programme, members of the VGM medical team were recognised and felicitated for their valuable contributions and dedicated service.
