DJ Academy of Design (DJAD), a premier design-led institution in Coimbatore run by GKD Charity Trust organized its first graduation ceremony on Sunday.
G.Ravi, Vice Chancellor of Alagappa University, Karaikudi took part as the Chief Guest of the ceremony, Rajeev Sethi, Chairman & Founder of Asian Heritage Foundation, New Delhi was the Guest of Honor.
Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Chairman – Governing Council of DJAD and Lalitha Devi Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Managing Trustee of GKD Charity Trust presided over.
Vydianathan Ramaswami, Dean of DJAD welcomed the gathering and presented the Annual report.
The Guest of Honor, Rajeev Sethi delivered a special address, sharing deep thoughts about what is Identity, what makes a design contemporary and what is the purpose of education.
The Chief Guest, G.Ravi delivered the graduation day address, in which he spoke a design education and its role in creating changes that are meaningful, responsible and sustainable.
110 successful candidates of DJAD received their degree certificates from the dignitaries.
Post the presentation of degrees, Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu, Chairman of DJAD’s Governing Council Honored the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honor.
The graduates celebrated the moment cheerfully with each other cheerfully. At the occasion, the creative works of DJAD’s Students were showcased.
The Chief Guest and Guest of Honor inaugurated this exhibition. Exhibits related to Design Process, Photography, Publication Design, Animation & Story Telling, Sustainability, Packaging Design etc were showcased.
