The Department of Management Sciences and the Business Club of Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology (HICET) recently organised a Personal Finance Empowerment Boot Camp on the college campus.
The programme was conducted in partnership with Success Verse Foundation, Enrich Money and Market Academy to create awareness among students, particularly engineering graduates, about financial literacy, investment planning, wealth creation and smart money management.
The boot camp was inaugurated by Sarasuwathi Khannaiyann, Managing Trustee, and Priya, Executive Secretary and Secretary, Hindusthan Education and Charitable Trust. Jaya, Principal of the college, presided over the programme.
The sessions were led by Ponmudi, CEO of Enrich Money; Anbuthambi, Director of Success Verse Foundation; and experts from Enrich Money and Market Academy. They shared insights on personal finance, including budgeting, saving strategies, mutual funds, stock market investing, risk management, financial planning and long-term wealth creation.
Their practical guidance and real-world experiences helped students gain a better understanding of responsible financial decision-making.
The boot camp provided participants with valuable knowledge on developing financial discipline, understanding investment instruments and making informed financial decisions, thereby enhancing their financial confidence and awareness, said the college in a press release.
