Medical equipment worth Rs. 7.62 lakh were donated to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital by the Inner Wheel Club of Coimbatore on Wednesday, as a part of its ongoing community service initiatives to benefit the patients.
A press release from the NGO mentioned that the donation included 2 ICU beds and 15 syringe pumps, which will support the hospital in providing improved emergency and critical care services.
The club’s President Binal Shah and Secretary Padmapriya Prasad formally handed over the assistance to Dr. Geethanjali, Dean of Coimbatore Medical College Hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, the club members said that thousands of patients visit the Government Medical College Hospital every day for treatment, and these emergency care beds and syringe pumps will help enhance patient care and support the hospital’s medical staff.
Last week, the club donated wheelchairs for passengers at the Coimbatore Railway Station as part of its commitment to serving the community.
