The Department of Naturopathy and Yoga at PSG Super Speciality Hospitals observed the 12 International Yoga Day by organizing a series of wellness initiatives recently.  Aligned with the theme ‘Yoga for Healthy Ageing’,  all programs highlighted yoga as a lifelong practice that promotes healthy ageing, vitality, independence, and overall well-being.

A Therapeutic Yoga Session was conducted for oncology patients and their caregivers, benefiting over 60 participants.
Likewise, a dedicated Yoga Session for School Students and NCC Cadets was also held where more than 150 NCC cadets actively participated and benefited from yogic practices aimed at improving concentration, coordination, discipline and leadership qualities.
driverpsg scaled A Yoga Awareness and Practice Program was organized for students from PSG Health Sciences Institutions, benefitting 250+ students. The activities concluded on Thursday with a Mass Meditation and Workplace Wellness Program. It was attended by more than 300 hospital employees, including doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, administrative staff and support personnel.
schoolfriends scaledAll programs were held under the guidance of the hospital’s Naturopathy & Yoga Consultants, Subashini  &  G.Anubama. It is important to state that the Department has been conducting regular yoga sessions for cancer patients since 2020, benefiting more than 6,000 patients.
