Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Vadavalli, celebrated International Yoga Day on Saturday.

The event featured a variety of activities aimed at creating awareness about yoga and promoting healthy lifestyle practices. The school organised competitions and conducted age-appropriate yoga sessions for students from Pre-KG to Class XII, ensuring active participation across all grade levels.

A total of 2,052 students, 100 parents, and 100 teachers took part in the programme, making it one of the school’s most inclusive celebrations. Parents joined the yoga sessions alongside their children, helping extend awareness about the benefits of yoga to the wider community.

The celebration showcased discipline and coordination while providing participants with a valuable learning experience on the role of yoga in maintaining physical and mental well-being.
