Rathinam College Cricket Club recently won the Coimbatore District Cricket Association (CDCA) Sixth Division League title and secured promotion to the Fifth Division for the 2025-26 season.
After losing its opening matches, Rathinam recovered to finish at the top of the table with 24 points from nine matches, registering six wins and three losses. The team also recorded a net run rate of +0.834.
Rathinam’s title-winning campaign included six consecutive victories. The team defeated Manchester Strikers, Seahawks United CC, KAT Turf Cricket Academy, D Square Sam Academy, ASP Enterprises CC and Sri Jolly Rovers SC during the run. A key result came against Manchester Strikers, where Rathinam chased down a target of 261 runs to win by three wickets.
Coach and manager Martin Devapitchai guided the team throughout the season, overseeing preparations and match strategies.
Madan A. Sendhil, Chairman of Rathinam Global Deemed-to-be University, congratulated the players, coaching staff and support team on winning the title and earning promotion.
With the championship victory, Rathinam College Cricket Club will compete in the CDCA Fifth Division League in the 2025-26 season.
