Sakthivel, Chairman of the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), recently met the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Joseph Vijay, and submitted a memorandum outlining key initiatives to support the growth of the apparel industry and achieve the vision of USD 15 billion in apparel exports by 2030.

“The memorandum highlighted critical priorities, including worker housing, MSME support, technology upgradation, logistics infrastructure, sustainable manufacturing, skill development, AI adoption, and the expeditious implementation of PM MITRA Park.

The discussion reaffirmed the industry’s commitment to strengthening Tamil Nadu’s position as a leading global apparel manufacturing and export hub while creating large-scale employment opportunities and driving economic growth.
