Department of Management Studies of Dr. N.G.P Institute of Technology, in association with Business Standard, organised “The Campus Tour – Search for India’s Best Ad Film Creators” at its campus recently.
The event aimed to identify and nurture creative talent among students in the field of advertising and filmmaking.
Jayaraam, George Mathew, and Nikhil, executives from Business Standard, graced the occasion and interacted with students, offering insights into the evolving landscape of media, branding, and storytelling. Their engagement encouraged participants to explore creativity with a strategic perspective.
The event was presided over by distinguished academicians, including Abhishek Chatterjee, Deputy Director – BSmart, Business Standard; Mohan, Head, Department of Business Management; Kavitha, Head, Department of Costume Designing and Fashion from Dr. NGP Arts and Science College; and Franklin John, Head, Department of Management Studies, Dr. N.G.P Institute of Technology.
Franklin John delivered the welcome address, highlighting the importance of industry–academia collaboration in shaping future business leaders.
In their addresses, Mohan and Kavitha emphasised the growing significance of creative communication in modern business environments and encouraged students to leverage such platforms to showcase their innovative potential.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, with teams presenting their creative ad films. The competition concluded with presentations by the participating teams. The overall winner of the event was a team from Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT).
Students from the first-year MBA programme of Dr. N.G.P Institute of Technology also secured top positions: the first prize was won by Srimathi and team (Gayathri, Monisha, and Srimathi); the second prize by Arunkumar and team (Aanandha Kumar, Aksaya, and Meera); and the third prize by Dharshan and team (Deepak, Dineshwaran, and Jagan).
