Dr.VGM is taking that to the next level – Alannah MacTiernan
Addressing the gathering, Former Australian Minister Alannah said that India and Australia have signed an FTA that holds great value to both countries, especially in the field of medicine.
“We indeed have got a very important bilateral trade agreement between Australia and India, and we have agreed that we will have no tariffs between us when it comes to the interchange of medical technology and ideas,” she said.
Speaking further, she said the focus of this center is really to look at not just the symptoms and treating the symptoms but getting that very detailed understanding of what is causing dyspepsia.
She deeply appreciated Dr.VG Mohan Prasad in his pursuit to treat patients with Dyspepsia, and acknowledged that he followed the path of Australia’s Nobel Laureatte Dr. Barry Marshall who discovered that a bacteria (H. pylori) causes most peptic ulcers and chronic dyspepsia.
“Dr.VGM was one of the first to take that finding – the Western Australian Technology forward, and now he is taking that to the next level,” she remarked.
