Rathinam Group of Institutions recently celebrated MILIR 2026 – International Women’s Day at the Rathinam Auditorium.

Pattimandram speaker and motivational orator Kovai Santhamani was the Chief Guest, while Sasikala, Retired District Judge, attended as the Guest of Honour.

A key highlight of the celebration was the grand launch of the Rathinam Institutions Women’s Federation (RIWF), an initiative designed to provide a strong platform for networking, empowerment, and professional development for women within and beyond the campus community.

As Chief Patron of MILIR 2026, Shima Sendhil, Trustee and Director of the Rathinam Group of Institutions, spearheaded the vision behind the Women’s Federation. In her address, she emphasized the institution’s commitment to nurturing not only students but also the educators and staff who form its backbone.

“The launch of MILIR is not merely an event — it is a movement. We believe that when women are empowered, communities are transformed,” said Shima Sendhil.

The Patrons of the event included Geetha, Principal of Rathinam Technical Campus; Ashmi, Principal of Rathinam Public School; and Akhilaa Vellalar, Principal of KPM School.

The program was coordinated by Kousalyadevi, Head of the Department of Management, along with Aruna, Head of the Department of CDF, and Jeba Beula, Head of the Department of Physics.

The celebration aimed to recognize women’s strength, grace, and brilliance while bringing together women staff members and awardees, highlighting the institution’s ongoing commitment to women empowerment and leadership.
