LMW organised a three-day Annual Cricket Tournament 2026 at its sports ground recently, with the participation of 35 teams and over 525 employees from various units.
A total of 33 matches were conducted during the tournament, showcasing outstanding talent and sportsmanship. The event recorded 100 sixes and 362 fours.
The Foundry Iron Titans team won the tournament with an excellent performance in the final. ATC – Typhoons finished as the runners-up. The third place was shared by TMD 2 – Red Wings and ATC – Fighters.
Marudhu of the TMD 2 – Spartans team was named the Best Batsman. Seenivasan of the same team and Ramkumar of FDY – Iron Titans shared the Best Bowler award. Manikandan of FDY – Iron Titans was adjudged the Best All-Rounder and also the Man of the Series.
The organisers said the cricket tournament was more than just a sporting event; it was a celebration of camaraderie and workplace harmony. Employees and management joined together in the true spirit of the game, reinforcing LMW’s culture of unity and employee engagement.
