Dr. NGP Arts and Science College and Dr. NGP Institute of Technology jointly conducted the 3rd State Level Inter-Collegiate Women’s Volleyball Tournament for the Dr. NGP Trophy was held on 27th and 28th January 2026.
Sixteen teams from various colleges across the state participated in the tournament. A total of 18 matches were played, comprising 12 knockout matches and 6 league matches.
Panimalar Engineering College, Chennai, emerged as the champion, securing first place. Nirmala College for Women, Coimbatore, finished as the runners-up and claimed the second place.
Vels University, Chennai, secured third place, while PKR Arts College for Women, Erode, finished fourth.
The tournament was formally inaugurated by Bhuvaneswaran, CEO, in the presence of Muthusamy, Director – Academics; Saravanan, Principal, Dr. NGP Arts and Science College; Prabha, Principal, Dr. NGP Institute of Technology, along with the Head and Deputy Head of Vanguard Academy.
The Dr. NGP Trophy Tournament served as an excellent platform for young women athletes to showcase their talent, competitive spirit, and dedication to sports, making the event a grand success.
