Cross Cut Road transformed into a vibrant stretch of culture and celebration on Sunday (23rd November 2025) evening as Coimbatore Vizha presented Vizha Veedhi – A Street Festival of Culture & Rhythm, featuring 17 traditional art forms.
The event, held between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM starting from Lakshmi Complex, drew huge crowds who came to witness the region’s diverse artistic heritage.

The festival was inaugurated by Coimbatore Vizha Chair Shanmugam, Co-Chair Bindhu, Aadarsh, Kesica, Yi Chair Neil, Yi Co-Chair Rahul, and Vizha Veedhi Lead Nishanth.
The celebrations showcased Parai Attam, JAMAB Ensemble, Chenda Melam, and folk dances, including Baduga Dance and Valli Kummi. The majestic sounds of Nadaswaram and Thavil created a divine ambience, while a spirited Dhol performance added high-energy Punjabi beats to the festival.
The street came alive with traditional costumes, live cultural performances, colorful decorations, and enthusiastic community participation. Families, youngsters, and art lovers thoroughly enjoyed the festivities.
With 17 traditional art forms on display, Vizha Veedhi emerged as a grand cultural highlight of Coimbatore Vizha 2025, bringing people together through music, dance, heritage, and celebration.
