The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore, has warmly welcomed the forthcoming inauguration of the Avinashi Road flyover by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K. Stalin, scheduled for 9th October 2025.
In a statement, the Chamber noted that this prestigious overbridge, which will be the longest in Tamil Nadu, has been aptly named after the illustrious G.D. Naidu, a pioneer of Indian industry and a proud son of Coimbatore.
The G.D. Naidu Overbridge is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion on Avinashi Road, thereby contributing meaningfully to the city’s infrastructure development and economic growth, the Chamber added.
The Chamber also extended its sincere gratitude to the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Chief Minister for their visionary leadership in executing this major infrastructure project and for honouring the legacy of G.D. Naidu.
“Furthermore, we wholeheartedly welcome the upcoming Global Startup Summit and the proposed Jewellery Park in Coimbatore, both of which are expected to catalyze the region’s industrial growth and provide a substantial boost to the city’s renowned gold jewellery sector,” the Chamber stated.
The Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore, concluded by expressing its deepest appreciation to the Chief Minister and the Tamil Nadu Government for these progressive initiatives and stated that it looks forward to their successful implementation in the near future.
