The Covai Zone Civil Engineers Association, in collaboration with Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology, celebrated Engineer’s Day 2025 under the theme “Civil Engineers – Building Tomorrow, Today,” on 15th September 2025.

The event commenced with an inauguration ceremony that featured an invocation and a welcome address by Senthilnathan, Secretary of the association, followed by the presidential address by Palanisamy, President.

The Engineer’s Day address was delivered by Rajadurai, Immediate Past President of the association.

Sarasuwathi, Managing Trustee of Hindusthan Educational and Charitable Trust, was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the event.

Special addresses were delivered by Jaya, Principal of the college, and Akil, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering.

As part of the celebrations, a series of student competitions was conducted, including My City 2050 – Poster & Pitch, Water Warriors – Save Lakes, Civil Mastermind Quiz, and Smart Mobility Hackathon, all aimed at encouraging innovation and problem-solving skills among budding engineers.

The event witnessed the participation of around 250 students and concluded with a valedictory function, during which certificates and awards were distributed to the winners.

The Engineer’s Day Challenge 2025 served as a platform for students to showcase their talents and reaffirmed the commitment of civil engineers to shaping a sustainable future, said the organisers.
