Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) recently signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Columbia University (Columbia Engineering), New York, USA.
This MoU was signed by G. Viswanathan, Founder and Chancellor, VIT, and Soulaymane Kachani, Dean of Academic Affairs and Global Partnerships, Columbia University, in the presence of Binaya Srikanta Pradhan, Consul General of India in New York.
This historic partnership makes VIT the first Indian university to enter into a dual degree agreement with Columbia University, opening world-class academic pathways for engineering students on an international stage.
Emphasising the significance of the partnership, G. Viswanathan highlighted the institution’s commitment to delivering globally competitive education, describing the collaboration as a defining moment in the history of VIT.
“This is a landmark agreement between VIT and Columbia University. We are proud to become the first Indian university to establish a dual degree programme with one of the world’s most prestigious institutions.
