Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Skanda Freight Services on 30th July 2025.
The MoU aimed at facilitating guest lectures, placement drives, and internships for students. This partnership is expected to provide students with valuable industry exposure and opportunities.
On this occasion, a motivational session titled ‘Enjoy Your Journey’ was organised for the 2025-27 MBA batch. Mayuri, HR Manager, Skanda Freight Services, was the chief guest.
Valarmathi, Director, VIMS, in her presidential address, emphasised the importance of maintaining a positive attitude in one’s career journey, suggesting that students speak to themselves positively every day to unlock their full potential.
Mayuri highlighted the significance of competency skills in starting one’s journey, discussing topics such as positive and negative talk, SWOT analysis, and essential skill sets for sales and marketing careers.
The chief guest stressed the importance of self-awareness, to know their people, and their path to achieving success in life. She also cautioned against comparing oneself to others and encouraged students to break barriers.
Mayuri explained the characteristics of Type A and Type B personalities, asking students to categorise themselves and understand how it impacts their journey. The event concluded with a question-and-answer session.
