Road Safety Patrol, operating under the Tamil Nadu Police Traffic Wardens Organisation – Coimbatore City organized a Road Safety Awareness program in association with Nirmala College for Women, on Wednesday.
Aimed at emphasizing the importance of wearing helmets, seat-belts and adherence to road safety regulations while driving, the event featured mime, street-play and other awareness-building activities by the students of the college.
Held very close to the college, the programs attracted 200+ passers-by that included motorists and pedestrians. Awareness messages were also carried through placards, and it attracted the public.
Ranga Prabhu, Chief Traffic Warden, Coimbatore City and J.Sam Babu, Administrative Officer, Tamil Nadu Police Traffic Wardens Organisation Coimbatore City took part as the Special Invitees. Prof.Maheswari, Road Safety Patrol Officer served as the organizing head of the event.
