The Pitch 7.0 Finale Demo Day, the flagship event of Coimbatore Vizha 2025, concluded on 20 November 2025 at GRD College of Arts and Science, marking a significant moment for entrepreneurship in the region.
Organised by Young Indians (Yi) Coimbatore, the event went beyond a conventional competition and delivered a real-world investment simulation, connecting 17 high-potential startups directly with investors and strategic partners.
The Pitch 7.0 Finale reinforced its reputation as one of Tamil Nadu’s most action-oriented platforms.
The Demo Day followed an efficient format, with each startup presenting a three-minute pitch followed by a four-minute Q&A session before a unified jury panel.
Instead of traditional prizes, the jury—which included investor Sriram (Native Lead), investor Manikandan (Adissia), and key ecosystem leaders—offered immediate, actionable commitments such as prospective investment interest, business introductions, and structured mentorship support.
This results-driven approach ensured that founders walked away with real-world opportunities and direct follow-up for capital, growth, and market access.
A defining feature of this year’s Pitch 7.0 was its strong focus on inclusivity.
The 17 finalists represented a diverse pool of founders, including transgender entrepreneurs (with activist-founder Kalki Subramaniam among them), women-led ventures, and entrepreneurs from rural and underprivileged backgrounds.
“The energy today proved that innovation knows no boundary,” said a spokesperson for the Coimbatore Vizha team. “Our goal, supported by partners like StartupTN, was to build the state’s first genuinely inclusive deal flow. Watching commitment cards being raised for our diverse founders is the true success of this Coimbatore Vizha.”
Key highlights included strategic partnerships with StartupTN and the Wadhwani Foundation, which provided finalists with immediate access to state-level support systems.
With the conclusion of the Finale, The Pitch 7.0 will now move into its post-event support phase, facilitating one-on-one meetings promised by the jury and integrating the finalists into ongoing mentorship programmes under the Yi ecosystem.
