Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology (SKCET) is hosting the Grand Finale of the 6th edition of the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 on 8th and 9th December 2025 at the college campus.

The inaugural ceremony took place on 8th December 2025.

Karthik, Managing Director of Deccan Industries, Coimbatore, graced the inaugural as the chief guest, and he commended the participants for their dedication and emphasized the transformative role of young innovators in shaping the nation’s technological future.

Malarvizhi, Chairperson and Managing Trustee of Sri Krishna Institutions, Coimbatore, delivered the welcome address highlighting the institution’s significant contributions to fostering innovation and supporting nation-building initiatives.

The inauguration witnessed the esteemed presence of dignitaries, including Sundararaman, CEO, Sri Krishna Institutions; Porkumaran, Principal of the college; Garima Rohela, Director & CVO, AICTE MIC, New Delhi, along with Yogesh Wadhawan, Nodal Centre Head, Senior Accounts Officer, AICTE MIC, Ministry of Education; and Parag Kulkarni, Vice President of Engineering, Randstad Enterprise, Pune.

Jury members, mentors, and industry experts also graced the occasion.

This year’s edition brought together a dynamic cohort of innovators, with 20 teams comprising 136 participants working to address four problem statements proposed by the Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Jal Shakti

Upholding the college’s legacy of excellence, four teams from the college qualified for the Grand Finale, demonstrating outstanding technical proficiency, creativity, and problem-solving capabilities.

The event further strengthened the college’s commitment to empowering young talent and advancing technological innovation in alignment with the national vision of Digital India.

The Deans, Heads of Departments and faculty members of the college joined hands to successfully organise this grand finale.
