The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Texcity hosted The Great Texcity Cook Off, a cooking competition recently at Vanaprastha Experience Center, Coimbatore. Chef Koushik, The Mad Chef of India, graced as the Chief Guest.
“The Club members split into five teams consisting of both Rotarians and Ann’s. The teams were named Mannvasanai, Love Paati, Samayal Sangam, Ponniyin Selvangal and Akshaya Paanai,” said Jaishree Sandeep, President, Texcity Ann’s Club. The winners were Samayal Sangam and the runners-up were Love Paati, she adds.
Jaishree also noted that this is the third edition of the Great Texcity Cook Off, and each year, it has been getting bigger and bigger. The judge for the first year was Chef Rangaraj, while last year’s judge was Ann. Anu Mathen, Culinary Queen of the club and Prabha, a YouTube cooking star from Prabha’s Cookbook channel. This year, the judge was Chef Koushik, The Mad Chef of India.
Rtn. AKS. Sundaravadivelu, Rotary District Governor graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour and Rtn. Maruti, District Governor Nominee for the year 2026-2027 and Prem, Assistant Governor of the club were present.
