The Rotaract Club of HICAS initiated “Colourful Steps,” a social service programme, at Positive Mind Academy in NGGO Colony, Thudiyalur.

The academy is a special school that caters to students with Autism and ADHD, focusing on inclusive and supportive learning practices.

As part of the initiative, Rotaractors actively engaged in painting and creating artwork across the school interiors, transforming the learning environment into a more colourful, lively, and welcoming space. The vibrant visuals are intended to create a positive atmosphere that supports focus, comfort, and joyful learning.

“Colourful Steps” is a three-phase initiative planned to gradually complete the entire interior transformation of the school, ensuring sustained impact and long-term benefits for the students. Each phase focuses on structured artistic elements aligned with sensory-friendly and learning-oriented designs.

Through this initiative, the Rotaract Club of HICAS reaffirmed its commitment to community development, emphasizing the power of art as a tool for inclusion, learning, and positive change. The event marked a meaningful step towards creating a nurturing and inspiring space for children with special needs.
