The 6th edition of the Smart India Hardware Hackathon (SIH) 2025 Grand Finale concluded with a Valedictory Ceremony in Coimbatore on 12 December 2025.
The five-day national event was hosted by Forge Innovation & Ventures, promoted by Kumaraguru Institutions.
The hackathon witnessed intense problem-solving and deep innovation, showcasing the nation’s brightest young engineering talent focused on developing indigenous solutions to critical national challenges.
The highlight of the ceremony was the Grand Jury Evaluation and Winner Announcements. The expert jury panel recognised solutions with the highest potential for scalability and impact, declaring winners across five high-stakes problem statements (PS), many aligned with the theme of Swadeshi for Atmanirbhar Bharat.

PS 25188 (Torpedo Ladle Container Position Feedback): Grain Seekers, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, Delhi.
Each winning team received a cash prize of ₹1,50,000, while each team in the joint winner categories received ₹75,000.
More Ramulu, Advisor-I, AICTE, attended as the Chief Guest and expressed immense pride in the collaborative efforts between institutions. He publicly acknowledged Forge Innovation & Ventures as the “best Nodal Centre” AICTE has worked with for the Hardware Hackathon, highlighting the exceptional quality of organization and support extended to participating teams. He concluded his address with an empowering message to future leaders, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Kunaljeet Singh, Director (Administration), AICTE, encouraged the student innovators to nurture their curiosity, adopt a mindset of continuous learning, and proactively evolve alongside rapidly advancing technologies.
Earlier in the day, Lakshmi Meera, Vice President and Chief Product Officer, Forge.Academy, delivered the welcome address, celebrating the grit and creativity demonstrated by the participants. She emphasised that SIH serves as a vital national platform aimed at “exporting Indian innovation to the world” while unlocking global opportunities for young innovators.
The ceremony concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Sam Jaikumar, Innovation Manager, MoE Innovation Cell, marking the successful culmination of SIH 2025 Hardware Edition.
