The Department of Physical Education, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore, organised the Bharathiar University Inter-Zone Inter-Collegiate Football Tournament 2025 from 29th to 31st October at the University Sports Ground.
Eight top teams from four university zones took part in the tournament.
In the knockout rounds, Bharathiar University defeated Kongu College of Arts and Science 10–0, while Rathinam College of Arts and Science secured a 2–0 win against PSG College of Arts and Science.
VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science moved to the next round as RVS College gave a walkover, and Nilgiri College beat Amman Arts College 2–1.
The four teams that qualified for the league stage were Bharathiar University, Rathinam College of Arts and Science, VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science, and Nilgiri College. Rathinam College continued their strong performance by defeating Nilgiri College 1–0 and Bharathiar University 4–0.
VLB Janakiammal College beat Nilgiri College 2–0, while their match with Rathinam College ended in a 1–1 draw. Bharathiar University drew 1–1 with VLB Janakiammal College and won 2–1 against Nilgiri College.
At the end of the league stage, Rathinam College of Arts and Science emerged as the champion, with VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science finishing as runners-up.
Bharathiar University secured third place, followed by Nilgiri College in fourth.
