Rathinam School of Architecture & Design recently collaborated with CUBE – IIT Madras on a project.
CUBE – IIT Madras has been tasked with preparing a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for converting one of INDCOSERVE’s tea factories, located at Kattabettu near Coonoor, into an Eco Tea Tourism Hub.
As part of this initiative, the college has been entrusted with preparing the building documentation, which will be submitted to CUBE – IIT Madras.
Students and faculty members from the college are actively involved in the project, working on-site to collect and compile the necessary data for the building documentation of the tea factory.
This collaboration represents an important opportunity to provide students with real-world experience, contribute to a sustainable tourism initiative, and demonstrate the role of architecture and design in heritage conservation and eco-tourism, said the college.
