The Indian Association of Gynaec Endoscopists (IAGE) – Tamil Nadu Chapter, the Coimbatore Obstetric & Gynaecological Society, and the Coimbatore Chapter of TAPISAR, in association with Rao Hospital, hosted ENDO INSIGHT 2025 – YUVA IAGE, a two-day national conference held on November 29 and 30 at The Residency Towers, Coimbatore.

The conference commenced with a high-impact live surgery workshop. Surgeries were streamed simultaneously from Rao Hospital, RS Puram, and Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, offering delegates an exceptional opportunity to witness a wide range of minimally invasive gynaecological procedures.

These included simple hysteroscopies, complex total laparoscopic hysterectomies, laparoscopic myomectomies, fertility-enhancing surgeries, and other advanced endoscopic techniques.

Performed by expert surgeons, the live demonstrations provided invaluable insights into operative strategy, surgical precision, and intraoperative problem-solving, enriching the learning experience for both young and experienced clinicians.

Throughout the day, multiple scientific halls hosted parallel sessions covering specialised areas of practice.

The endoscopy hall featured advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic learning sessions led by renowned faculty from Tamil Nadu and across India.

In another hall, reproductive medicine specialists delivered lectures and interactive discussions on contemporary ART and IUI practices, addressing updated IVF stimulation protocols, laboratory advancements, and evolving fertility strategies.

Delegates also participated in an aesthetic gynaecology workshop that highlighted emerging trends and techniques in cosmetic and functional gynaec procedures.

The Free Paper Competition added further depth to the event, giving young doctors a platform to present their research work and clinical cases before an expert jury. The competition showcased remarkable academic enthusiasm and the scientific promise of early-career gynaecologists.

The second day featured a series of compelling scientific sessions, including an impactful oration by Dr. Kalyan Barmade, President of IAGE, titled “Laparoscopic Surgery in the Era of Robots.”

He spoke on the evolving role of robotics in gynaec surgery, emphasising the need to balance technological advancement with core surgical skills, and reminding young surgeons to master their laparoscopic techniques while remaining open to innovation.

Sharing his thoughts on the success of the event, Dr. Damodar Rao, Secretary of IAGE – Tamil Nadu Chapter, Associate Director of Rao Hospital, and Organising Chairperson, said, “ENDO INSIGHT 2025 was designed to empower clinicians with real, practical exposure to endoscopic surgery and reproductive medicine. The enthusiasm we saw in the halls—the questions, the participation—this is exactly what strengthens the future of our specialty. We are proud to bring together brilliant faculty and highly motivated young doctors on one platform.”

With over 300 participants, including young gynaecologists, trainees, and practising clinicians from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and several states across India, the event stood out as one of the most engaging academic programmes of the year.

ENDO INSIGHT 2025 – YUVA IAGE marked a significant milestone for Coimbatore’s medical community. With its combination of advanced live surgical demonstrations, dynamic scientific deliberations, participation from leading faculty across India, and vibrant involvement from young doctors, the conference emerged as a celebration of knowledge, collaboration, and clinical excellence.
