Commemorating World Heart Day 2025, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital conducted a massive Mega Free Heart Health Camp at Pachapalayam on 28th September 2025. The initiative aimed to make essential cardiac screening accessible to residents in the rural and semi-urban areas of Coimbatore.
The camp was officially inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Sivakumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pachapalayam Range, in the presence of R. Sundar, Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Charitable Trust.
In his address, R. Sundar reinforced the mission of the hospital’s parent organisation. “For decades, SNR Sons Charitable Trust has been recognised for delivering both state-of-the-art medical care and phenomenal charitable activities,” he said.
“It is our pleasure and privilege to bring this essential check-up to Pachapalayam. In a world where the health landscape is shifting—where the overuse of technology, poor sleeping practices, and drastic changes in food habits increasingly trigger serious health issues, including cardiac problems in people, no matter where they live—early detection is vital.”
Sundar appealed to the local community, urging, “I appeal to the people of Pachapalayam and the surrounding areas to wholeheartedly utilise this free camp. This is a crucial opportunity for young and aged citizens alike to understand their risk profile and take definitive steps toward a healthier future.”
Members of the Trust and hospital leadership were also present at the event, including Ramkumar, CEO; Mahesh Kumar, Chief Administrative Officer of the Trust; Dr. Rajagopal, Medical Director; Dr. Alagappan, Medical Superintendent; as well as cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgery consultants.
