The two-day entrepreneurial stall exhibition held as a part of PSG Curry Masala concluded on Friday.
Organized by PSG Arts Alumni Association at the PSGCAS campus, this exhibition held on Thursday & Friday provided a vibrant platform for budding entrepreneurs to showcase, market and validate their products through direct interaction with customers.
The exhibition featured 25 commercial stalls, 7 food stalls and 2 two-wheeler display stalls that brought together a diverse range of products, food ventures, entrepreneurial initiatives and businesses. The initiative provided participants with practical exposure to product positioning, pricing, customer engagement, sales, marketing and business operations.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Preetha S. Priyadarsini Naidu, Secretary, PSG Arts Alumni Association, and Chandrasekhar, Joint Secretary, PSG Arts Alumni Association, in the presence of T. Kannan, Secretary, PSG College of Arts & Science, and M. Jayanthi, Principal, PSG College of Arts & Science.
As a significant entrepreneurship development initiative, the PSGCAS Business Incubator facilitated Udyam Registration for all 25 participating commercial stalls, while the 07 food stalls were supported with FSSAI Registration. This initiative aims to introduce aspiring entrepreneurs to essential business formalities and regulatory compliance, while encouraging them to progress from campus-level entrepreneurial activities towards sustainable business ventures.
The programme reflects PSGCAS’s emphasis on promoting a “Stalls to Startups” culture in Higher Education Institutions, where stall-based entrepreneurial experiences are utilized as practical learning opportunities to nurture students and aspiring entrepreneurs towards formal enterprise and startup creation.
The main event is on August 22nd at PSG CAS.
