PSG Public Schools organised a TED-Ed Student Talk at the school on 12th November 2025.
The event was graced by Shobhana Kumar, poet, who served as the Chief Guest. L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, PSG & Sons’ Charities, presided over the event.
Girish, Principal of PSG Public Schools, welcomed the gathering.
A total of 13 student speakers from seven schools in and around Coimbatore participated in the event, including PSG Public Schools, Vivekanandha Academy, Yuvabharathi Public School, Satchidananda Jothi Nikethan International School, GRD Public School, Smart Modern School, and Kids Club CBSE School.
Shobhana Kumar, in her address, spoke about the values that shape each person’s life and stressed the importance of leadership. She emphasized the need for kindness in an unkind world and highlighted humility and confidence as essential qualities for effective leadership.
She further stated that kindness helps in investing power, time, and relationships, which in turn contributes to personal and professional growth. She also spoke about failure, noting that when handled properly, it can lead to growth, stronger relationships, and enhanced leadership skills.
