Marking its centenary year, PSG & Sons’ Charities inaugurated the PSG Hall of Fame on January 30, 2026, at PSG College of Technology.
The Hall of Fame showcases the achievements and notable works of PSG institutions through an extensive collection of photographs. It also features sculptures of P. S. Govindaswamy, the founder of PSG, and his four sons, who went on to establish the trust.

The facility was inaugurated by G. R. Karthikeyan, Chairman of PSG Trust, in the presence of L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee, along with members of the Trust’s board.
The Hall of Fame is located adjacent to the Platinum Jubilee Auditorium at PSG College of Technology. The entire initiative was guided and overseen by Ramamoorthy, Advisor (Academic), PSG Institutions.
Each photograph on display traces the journey of PSG—from its humble beginnings to the expansive ecosystem of institutions it has become—highlighting milestones, challenges overcome, and excellence achieved over the past century.

Following the inauguration, Karthikeyan took the audience on a memorable journey through time, recalling the contributions of stalwarts and elders featured in photographs dating from 1926 to 1985. His narration brought alive the vision and dedication of the pioneers who laid the foundation of PSG. Gopalakrishnan complemented this by sharing insights and anecdotes related to several historic photographs, adding depth and context to the visual narrative.

Trustees V. Lakshminarayana Swamy, J. Anand, and P. Adhitya also witnessed the unveiling of the Trust’s historical journey, guided by the Chairman and Managing Trustee. Lakshminarayana Swamy appreciated the extensive photographic collection that vividly portrayed the Trust’s evolution over the past century. Anand suggested that the collection could be digitised to create an online archive, enabling members of the PSG community across the globe to access this heritage.
Adhitya expressed a sense of wonder on seeing the contributions of his grandfather captured in photographs, noting that he personally possessed very few such images. He also acknowledged the significant role played by the other founding trustees in shaping PSG’s enduring legacy.

Among the first visitors to the Hall of Fame were heads of institutions representing schools, colleges, and industrial institutes, along with senior administrators, distinguished alumni, and well-wishers of the Trust.
A Visual Journey through a Century of Legacy
Reflecting on the significance of the exhibition, the heads of PSG said the Hall of Fame was not merely a collection of photographs but a visual journey through time, capturing the dreams of the founders, the dedication of generations of educators, and the aspirations and achievements of students. They noted that the exhibition serves as a reminder that institutions are built by people who share a larger purpose, inspiring present and future generations to carry forward PSG’s legacy.

The exhibits chronicle the century-long journey of PSG & Sons’ Charities, from its visionary genesis to the network of institutions that stand today as centres of academic, social, and industrial excellence. A specially curated section highlights the origins of the Trust and its sustained commitment to the upliftment of the people of Coimbatore. Each institution is presented through dedicated thematic spaces, offering a cohesive narrative of growth, service, and innovation that continues to empower generations.
