In collaboration with Daikin Industries, PSG Polytechnic College recently inaugurated the PSG Daikin Centre of Excellence: A Partnership for Skill Development and Technological Innovation at the college campus.
The PSG Daikin Centre of Excellence was inaugurated by Sanjay Goyal, Senior Vice President & Director of Daikin Air Conditioning India.
The event also saw the presence of notable guests, including Rao, Regional Vice President of Daikin, and Gandhi, Management Advisor for Training & Skill Development at Daikin India.
The welcome address was delivered by Giriraj, Principal of the College. Arasu, Head of the Department of Foundry Technology, was the Project Coordinator.
The centre offers a variety of training programs, including:
- Skill training for unemployed youth
- Hands-on training for diploma and engineering graduates
- Trainer training programs
- Seminars on advanced HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems
These programs aim to bridge the skill gap in the HVAC industry and promote the development of a highly trained workforce.
A significant collaboration plays a pivotal role in promoting skill development in the air conditioning sector. Equipped with air conditioning units and components valued at Rs.20 lakhs, this centre is coordinated by the Department of Foundry Technology at PSG Polytechnic College.
This collaboration underscores the commitment of both organizations to advancing technical education and skill development in the HVAC sector. With cutting-edge facilities and comprehensive training programs, this initiative will help produce a skilled workforce capable of meeting the growing demand for HVAC professionals in India and beyond.
