Vivekananda Institute of Management Studies (VIMS) celebrated the Onam with traditional fervor and cultural splendour on 02nd September, 2025.
The celebration began with a grand Pookkalam (floral carpet) designed by students, symbolizing prosperity and harmony. Faculty, staff, and students joined together to embrace the spirit of unity and joy that Onam represents.
The event showcased a variety of cultural programs including Thiruvathira, traditional music, chenda melam and games that reflected Kerala’s rich heritage.
Speaking on the occasion, Valarmathi, Director emphasized that festivals like Onam not only celebrate cultural traditions but also strengthen community bonding and nurture values of inclusiveness among management students.
The Onam 2025 celebration at VIMS truly reflected the institute’s commitment to holistic education, where cultural diversity and academic excellence go hand in hand.
