In connection with National Voluntary Blood Donation Day, the Youth Red Cross and Voluntary Blood Donation Club of Nirmala College for Women (Autonomous), Coimbatore, recently organised a blood donation camp under the aegis of the ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’ of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
The camp was conducted in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, Coimbatore Branch, and PSG Hospitals.

The event was inaugurated by Mary Fabiola, Principal of the college, who emphasised that donating blood is a simple yet significant act that saves lives. She encouraged students to participate in humanitarian efforts, stating that the spirit of giving reflects the core values of the institution.
The camp saw active participation from students, staff, and volunteers. Around 130 individuals, including staff, students, and parents, registered for the event, and 40 members donated blood.
