Sergeant Keerthivarman, a second-year Civil Engineering student from 2 (TN) CTC NCC of NGP Institute of Technology (NGP iTECH), has been selected as the Best Cadet representing the Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, and Andaman & Nicobar Directorate to participate in the Prime Minister’s Rally on January 26, 2025, at Rajpath, New Delhi.

During the Flag Area Competition, a platform for cadets to share their experiences, skills, and values imbibed during NCC training, Keerthivarman briefed General Upendra Dwivedi, the Chief of Army Staff and a Param Vikishit Seva Medal (PVSM) and Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM) awardee on their flag display, representing the Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, and Andaman & Nicobar Directorate.

Keerthivarman has received a Cadet Commendation Card from General Upendra Dwivedi and he was also nominated as the sponsored Indian Ambassador for the Youth Exchange program cadets from the Republic of Fiji.
