Every year on November 10, World Science Day for Peace and Development is celebrated to emphasize the vital role of science in society and its contribution to peace, sustainable development, and global stability, as recognized by UNESCO. In line with this, let’s highlight recent achievements by students from The NGP School in the field of science:
Tejas earned 11th place among 604 participants in the ICode Global Hackathon 2024, an international online coding competition organized by OMO Tech.
In the Techbinators competition, Rashmitha, Dhanya, and Lakshita from Grade 9 and Jai Rakshana, Ahanya, and Theja Senthilvel from Grade 8 were recognized as national winners for their STEM-based sustainability project. Their prize includes an internship program organized by 1M1B (One Million for One Billion) in association with IBM SkillsBuild, Bangalore.
Two teams from The NGP School were selected among the Top 500 at the national level in the ATL Marathon 2023-24, organized by the ATAL Innovation Mission (AIM), Government of India. The students, Hashini & Sarvesh of Grade 9 and Paaridhi Velan & Rohil of Grade 8, were chosen for the Student Incubation Program and are now working under the AIC Rise Incubation Center at Rathinam College.
In a regional competition, 20 students from Grades 9 to 11 participated in Yi Thalir’s Innovation Fest 2024 and qualified for the national level with their innovative website, “Viksit Vision,” designed to help local businesses expand their market reach globally.
In the MakeX National Robotics Competition, organized by Big Bodhi in Mumbai, Aadhaya, Kaushal Priyanka of Grade 7, and Paaridhi Velan & Revan of Grade 8 won 5th place.
Finally, students participated in the Universal Robotics League, a national-level robotics and product innovation competition, organized by Robomatics in Coimbatore this November.
These accomplishments underscore the dedication and talent of The NGP School’s students in advancing science and technology, contributing to innovation and sustainability.
