The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. NGP Institute of Technology, inaugurated its departmental association MECHLADOZ 2026 on Wednesday.
The programme marked the beginning of the department’s academic and professional activities for the academic year 2026–2027.
Muthuswamy, Director Academics; Prabha, Principal; and Sree Balaji, Dean – Industry Relations and Head, Department of Mechanical Engineering, were present during the inauguration.
As part of the programme, the Department signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with CADOne Solutions and Varma Enterprises, Coimbatore. The MoUs aim to strengthen industry–institute collaboration by providing students with industry-oriented training, workshops, internships, industrial visits, collaborative research, consultancy, and placement opportunities.
The MoUs were exchanged between Prabha, Aadithya, Managing Director, CADOne Solutions, and Ramesh, Managing Director, Varma Enterprises, in the presence of Sree Balaji and Prasath Vijaykumar, Head – Education & Strategic Solutions, CADOne Solutions.
The chief guests, Ramesh, Aadithya Sathya, and Prasath Vijaykumar, delivered a special address on “Recent Trends in Digital Manufacturing.” They highlighted the importance of digital engineering, CAD/CAM, industrial automation, additive manufacturing, and continuous skill development to meet Industry 4.0 requirements.
The programme also included the introduction and oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected MECHLADOZ office bearers.
