Dr. NGP Arts and Science College recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ALERT (Amenity Lifeline Emergency Response Team), a leading non-governmental organisation committed to first aid and emergency response, to promote community safety and resilience.
As part of the collaboration, an ALERT Golden Army Club will be established on the campus to train students in essential life-saving skills, enabling them to act swiftly during emergencies and contribute to community welfare.
The initiative is aimed at translating the principle of the “Right to Life” into a practical reality by fostering awareness and preparedness among the younger generation.
The agreement marks a major step in delivering structured programmes on first aid and emergency preparedness, expected to have a lasting positive impact on society.
Kala Balasundaram, Founder Trustee of ALERT; Rajesh Trivedi, Co-Founder & Managing Trustee; Karthik Venkatesan, Head – Training and Operations; Saravanan, Principal of the college and Banudevi, Dean – Commerce & Management, participated in the signing ceremony.
The MoU reflects the shared commitment of both organisations to build a culture of safety, preparedness, and timely response in Coimbatore and beyond.
