Adv. Dr. P. Krishnadas, Chairman of the Nehru Group of Institutions was appointed as the Honorary Trade Commissioner of Mauritius to India (South India) by the Governments of Mauritius and India.

This prestigious position was awarded on the recommendation of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the Indian Economic Trade Organization (IETO), and the Indian African Trade Council (IATC). The official appointment letter was presented by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Kheswar Jankee, the Mauritius Ambassador to Russia, in a ceremony.

This event was attended by several eminent personalities including His Excellency Mookheswar Chonee Gosk, Ambassador and former minister, Dr. Asif Iqbal, President of IETO, Wall Kashvi, Vice President of IETO, Dr. P. Krishnakumar, CEO & Secretary of Nehru Group of Institutions, His Holiness Swamiji Harinarayanan Ji, Suresh Kumar, P.R.O (Global) of NGI, Roshan Mathew, Media Head of NGI.

The appointment was endorsed by the Education Minister Leela Devi Dookun.

During the event, the appointee and the delegation were greeted by the Honorable Minister Naveena Ramyad, Minister of Industrial Development, SMEs, and Cooperatives, along with high-level bureaucrats.

The event also included the signing of the first Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Jayasankar, Founder of Global Education Outreach, Mauritius, and Dr. P. Krishnakumar, CEO & Secretary of Nehru Group of Institutions. This MOU solidifies a commitment of Nehru group of institutions to the exchange of Technology in education concerning Education 4.0.

As the Honorary Trade Commissioner of Mauritius to India (South India), Adv. Dr. P. Krishnadas will work to strengthen trade, commerce, and cooperation between India and Mauritius.
