Nachimuthu Polytechnic College Alumni Association (NAPAA) organised its 16th Mega Reunion at the college campus on Sunday, bringing together alumni from different generations to celebrate their enduring bond with their alma mater.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from former students, faculty members and well-wishers.

A proud and historic moment marked the occasion as, for the first time, an alumnus of Nachimuthu Polytechnic College was elected to the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. Nithyanandhan of the 1990 Mechanical Engineering batch was felicitated by the gathering, which extended its heartfelt congratulations on his remarkable achievement.

On behalf of the Alumni Association and the college, Nithyanandhan was honoured during the function and delivered the chief guest address.
The function was presided over by Balasubramanian, President Emeritus of the association. Arokiasamy, Vice-President, delivered the welcome address.
Felicitations were offered by Ashok, Principal of the college; Kalaimani, President of the Alumni Association; Govindasamy, Joint Secretary and Principal of MCET; and Appukutty, Chairman of PA Institutions.
The reunion served as a platform for alumni to reconnect with classmates, share memories and strengthen their association with the institution. Various interactive sessions, felicitation programmes and networking activities were conducted during the event.
A significant highlight of the event was the recognition of NAPAA’s contribution to student welfare. The association announced that it had provided scholarships to 1,248 students, amounting to ₹1.15 crore, through the interest generated from its corpus fund. This achievement was widely appreciated by the alumni and participants.
The alumni also expressed their support for the upcoming Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Nachimuthu Polytechnic College in 2027 and pledged to contribute actively towards making the historic milestone a grand success.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Chandrasekar, Treasurer of NAPAA.
