The two-day Brahmasthanam Temple Festival was held at Nallampalayam and concluded on Sunday (23rd February 2025) with Amma, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, Chancellor of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham delivering a poignant message that underscored the values of interconnection, responsibility, and transformation.
The festival, marked by spiritual fervour and communal harmony, drew thousands of devotees eager to receive Amma’s blessings during her first visit to the city in several years. This was the twenty-fourth anniversary of the temple consecration.
In her satsang, Amma reflected on the deeper meaning of life, urging individuals to recognize the interconnectedness of all beings and the impact of their actions. “There is a rhythm to everything in creation, an undeniable relationship between the entire universe and every living creature within it.
The universe is like a vast interconnected network. Suppose there is a net. If it is shaken in one place, the vibration is felt throughout. Similarly, whether we are aware of it or not, all of our actions reverberate throughout creation—whether performed as an individual or as a group.
We are not individual islands but links of a common chain. If we wait for others to change, nothing will ever happen. We should try to change first, then others will follow our example,” she said.
Highlighting life’s essence as a continuous flow of responsibility and unity, Amma reminded the gathering that true fulfilment arises from understanding our role in this vast network. “When we act with awareness, our lives align with the universe’s rhythm, bringing peace and harmony to ourselves and others,” she added.
Amma also addressed the importance of compassion in modern society, stating, “Love is the true wealth of life, and its absence is the greatest loss a person can experience. Compassion is not a luxury but a necessity for the survival of society.
When the heart is filled with love, peace blossoms around us.” She emphasised that while it is not always possible to help everyone in need, prioritising the needs of those around us can create a ripple effect of kindness, fostering greater harmony in the world.
The second day of the festival featured a special mass Rahu Puja where hundreds participated. Amma was welcomed by renowned dignitaries such as Arunkumar, Member of the Legislative Assembly, Kavundampalayam and Amman Arjunan, Member of Legislative Assembly, Coimbatore North;
