The Business Analytics Club of KV Institute of Management and Information Studies (KVIMIS), organized an online session on “Career Guidance on Business Analytics”. The resource persons was Mr. Sateesh Ganesh (Assistant Vice President – GM Financial). The objective of the session was to provide students with a clear understanding of the growing significance of business analytics, and to guide them in preparing for future careers in this field.
Sateesh spoke on how business analytics is applied in different areas. He discussed various career pathways available for students, ranging from entry-level roles to higher positions. He also highlighted the essential skills including SQL, Python, R, Tableau, and Power BI, along with analytical and managerial competencies such as problem-solving, statistical thinking, and communication skills. Furthermore, he shed light on emerging industry trends, including the integration of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and the increasing importance of big data and real-time analytics.
