KMCH’s Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Sivakumaran, recently received the Best Inventory Controller of India Award 2025 for his outstanding contributions to inventory control in the healthcare industry.
Marathi actor Sonalee Kulkarni presented the award at a function held at Radisson Blu, Pune. Dr. Sivakumaran is the only COO from the healthcare industry to receive the award under this category.
The Healthcare Excellence and Leadership Award has been instituted by Insights Care, one of the leading healthcare media companies known for healthcare publishing and marketing, and recognised as one of the best healthcare magazines.
According to Insights Care, the award was established to honour exemplary leadership, dedication, and outstanding contributions to the advancement of the healthcare sector.

Dr. Sivakumaran thanked the management and all team members of the hospital. He remarked that this recognition would not have been possible without the support, cooperation, and encouragement of the management and the team.
He added that inventory control is a key function that needs continuous monitoring in any industry, as it has a direct impact on financial performance and operational efficiency. Receiving such a prestigious award, he said, is a great motivation to achieve even more.

Dr. Sivakumaran has a rich experience of over three decades in the healthcare industry. He has authored and published several scholarly articles in leading journals. Last year, he received the Healthcare Visionary Award from the Financial Express. He is also the recipient of the Most Iconic Healthcare Leaders (Global) Award from the World Health and Wellness Congress.
Adding to these accolades, he is the proud recipient of the Forttuna Global COO of the Year 2024 (India) Award, being the first and only Indian COO to receive this honour. In 2025, he also received the Fluxx Global Award in the Lifetime Achievement category.
