About Kala Sangam Global
Kala Sangam Global is being launched in India following the phenomenal success of Kala Sangam in the United Kingdom, which was founded by Shripati Upadhyaya and Geetha Upadhyaya in 1993.
The vision of Kala Sangam Global is to create a vibrant platform for the confluence of creativity across India and the world. Rooted in the philosophy of “Confluence of Creativity,” the organisation aims to promote, preserve, and propagate the rich and diverse heritage of Indian arts and culture globally.
The initiative seeks to bring together artists, art forms, institutions, and audiences by encouraging meaningful exchange between the artistic traditions of North, South, East, and West India.
Through curated performances, workshops, collaborations, research initiatives, cultural dialogues, national and international festivals, artist residencies, lecture-demonstrations, interdisciplinary collaborations, and sustainable opportunities for artists and cultural practitioners, Kala Sangam Global aspires to strengthen cultural understanding and artistic excellence.
Aligned with the national vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” the organisation aims to build bridges through the universal language of art. Special emphasis will be placed on empowering young and emerging artists, as well as artists with special needs, while honoring traditional knowledge systems and master practitioners.
With a strong cultural ethos and global outlook, Kala Sangam Global envisions becoming a dynamic hub for artistic exchange, innovation, and heritage preservation.
