The JK Tyre racing season 2025 begins this weekend at the Kari Motor Speedway in Coimbatore on August 9-10.

The opening round features races in the JK Tyre Novice Cup and the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup.

Participants have registered from locations including Jammu, Delhi, Sikkim, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Chennai.

In the Royal Enfield Continental GT Cup presented by JK Tyre, both amateur and professional riders compete under the Pro-Am format.

Royal Enfield conducted a talent search program “Street to Track,” with zonal selections across North, South, East, and West zones. From these, 64 amateur riders were selected to join 50 professional riders for the final selection round. Following the selection process, 24 riders, one from each of the Amateur and Pro categories, were chosen. All selected riders will compete using identical Continental GT-R650 motorcycles, equipped with Royal Enfield’s 648cc engine. This is the fifth year of the GT Cup.

The JK Tyre Novice Cup, introduced in 2018 as part of JKNRC, uses Indian-made Formula cars and is designed for newcomers to formula racing. This year’s grid includes 27 drivers from five teams: Team Avalanche Racing (owned by Fazal Malik), Team M-Sport (owned by Armaan Ebrahim), Team DTS Racing (owned by Diljith TS), Team Momentum Motorsport (owned by Rasheed Khan), and Team Delta Speeds (owned by Mohit Aryan).

The 2025 season will include 10 races for the Novice Cup and 8 races for the GT Cup, all held in Coimbatore across three rounds.

Races will be webcast live on JK Tyre Motorsport’s social media pages on Saturday, August 9 and Sunday, August 10:
